Time Imprint Residential House

Silver A' Design Award Winner 2025

This description presents a contemporary interior living space photographed from a frontal viewpoint, revealing an expansive conservatory-like room with floor-to-ceiling glass walls and ceiling supported by a black metal grid framework. Scanning from top to bottom, the upper portion features an industrial glass ceiling structure through which soft daylight filters, creating diffused illumination throughout the space. Suspended from this framework hangs an extraordinary lighting installation consisting of seven or eight clear glass spheres of varying sizes containing small plants and warm candle-like lights, creating a living chandelier effect that spans the upper middle of the composition. At left center hangs a modern black steel fireplace shaped like a suspended cone or tulip form with visible orange flames dancing within, emanating warmth like a contained campfire. Below and to the left sits a rectangular concrete planter containing white decorative stones and what appear to be sculptural white rock formations suggesting mountains. The central foreground features a generously cushioned lounge chair in creamy oatmeal-colored fabric with a soft, pillowy texture resembling a cloud or gathered petals, positioned upon a circular woven rug in natural honey-toned jute with a textured weave pattern that would feel rough and organic underfoot. Before the chair stands a round coffee table with a raw timber pedestal base in deep brown and a smooth white top holding white ceramic vessels and delicate white flowers like baby's breath. To the right of center, a black wrought iron chain mechanism suspends a traditional cast iron teakettle over a small fire vessel, suggesting the warmth and slight smoky aroma of tea preparation. Abundant potted trees in weathered gray concrete planters frame the right portion, their leaves showing autumn coloring in soft yellows, greens, and golden amber, suggesting the crisp freshness of turning seasons. The atmosphere feels like entering a sunlit greenhouse on a peaceful morning, warm from multiple fire sources, fresh with the oxygen of abundant plants, quiet and contemplative.

Time Imprint integrates age-friendly concepts with Chinese cultural elements to create future-oriented green rural housing. The design fosters intergenerational connections by harmonizing natural aesthetics, functional safety features, and low-impact materials to redefine green living for aging populations in culturally sensitive environments. Vertical green walls and rooftop gardens merge indoor-outdoor spaces, enhancing ecological connectivity. Human-centric layouts prioritize senior safety through non-slip flooring, grab rails, and smart health monitoring.
