Silver A' Design Award Winner 2025

This square-format interior photograph presents a contemporary cafe bar environment viewed from a seating area looking toward the service counter. Proceeding from foreground to background, the immediate space contains several seating elements arranged on a dark wood-toned floor. At bottom left, a black leather chair with visible cushion tufting offers a seat. Beside it rises a tall floor lamp with a brass stem supporting stacked matte black cone-shaped shades pointing upward and downward, resembling an hourglass or diabolo form. Adjacent sits a substantial armchair upholstered in warm cognac leather, the color reminiscent of caramel or autumn leaves, dressed with charcoal and cream patterned cushions. To its right, a distinctive chair constructed from white woven cords stretched across a dark frame holds a fluffy white textile like fresh snow draped over its back. An adjustable brass task lamp with an articulated arm extends nearby. The middle ground reveals the main bar area spanning most of the composition's width. A horizontal counter in natural wood tones, warm as honey, extends across, its surface smooth and inviting to touch. Behind the counter, a built-in illuminated display case glows softly, suggesting the cool clarity of frosted glass. Above the counter, shelving backed by rose-tinted reflective panels, warm like sunset on copper, displays rows of vessels and equipment in orderly procession. The wall surface features narrow vertical tiles in earthy tones, creating a texture that might feel ridged like corduroy beneath fingertips. A figure in white clothing moves across this zone, captured in soft blur suggesting graceful motion. The upper register shows a ceiling of textured panels resembling thick handmade paper or natural fiber, creamy white with subtle surface variation, held within a framework of dark bronze structural beams. The atmosphere feels calm, sophisticated, and welcoming, with warm ambient light creating a sense of late afternoon comfort.

The design redefines boundaries by integrating architecture, interior, and landscape, creating a glowing glass box that appears to float within the space. Flexible layouts, material transitions, and strategic lighting blur functional zones, while seamless glass walls connect the interior and exterior, enhancing openness and flow. Combining cafe, casual dining, reading, and exhibition functions, the space offers a comfortable, interactive experience that fosters social interaction, relaxation, and exploration, inviting users to embrace a sense of freedom and endless possibilities.
