Bronze A' Design Award Winner 2025

An oval-form bottle occupies the center of the composition against a warm background of golden tan tones like sunlit adobe or aged parchment, the vessel measuring roughly one hand-width across at its widest point and standing perhaps the height of two hands stacked vertically, the bottle constructed of a champagne-gold metallic material with the warm glow of polished brass or bronze, smooth and likely cool to touch with a satin finish that catches light along its curved surfaces, the upper portion features a flared collar or neck that opens outward like a trumpet bell, this section entirely in the golden metallic tone with subtle linear details encircling it horizontally, just below the flared collar a decorative band wraps around the neck containing calligraphic characters in black ink against a cream-colored background with touches of deep red, moving downward the bottle's main body swells to its widest oval diameter then gradually narrows toward the base, the most visually striking feature occupies the central two-thirds of the bottle's front surface where a transparent or translucent window reveals an extraordinary layered image, this pictorial zone features swirling atmospheric colors that flow and blend like watercolor on wet paper or mother-of-pearl iridescence, beginning at the left side with brilliant sky blues the color of clear tropical water and transitioning rightward through turquoise like shallow Caribbean seas into coral pinks reminiscent of sunrise clouds then into warm amber tones like honey or golden afternoon light, within this chromatic field appear stylized wave forms rendered in deeper blues with white highlights suggesting foam or spray, the waves undulate in rhythmic curving patterns from lower left toward upper right creating dynamic movement across the surface, a small solitary figure draped in pale blue robes stands within the wave environment, positioned slightly left of center and appearing contemplative or in gentle motion, the scale suggesting perhaps one-tenth the total image height, delicate bird forms possibly cranes rendered in fine strokes with touches of rust-red appear to float or fly within the composition adding vertical elements, at the precise center of this pictorial window sits a circular golden medallion approximately the size of a large coin, its surface bearing calligraphic characters in deep black ink that stand out clearly against the gold ground, below this central vision additional text in gold and black appears along the bottom edge of the transparent zone providing grounding information, the metallic gold framework surrounding this pictorial window creates clean geometric definition with straight vertical edges and curved horizontal bounds following the bottle's oval contour, light interacts with the various surfaces producing subtle bright spots along the bottle's shoulders where the curved surface most directly faces the light source, the transparent pictorial zone appears luminous as though lit from within or constructed of light-catching translucent materials, the texture of the metallic portions would feel smooth and cool like polished metal while the pictorial zone might feel like glass or glossy coated surface, the overall impression combines substantial physical presence with ethereal visual lightness, the warm golden tones throughout suggesting the weight and value of precious metal while the flowing blues and corals evoke air and water's weightless fluidity, the bottle rests on a subtle platform or surface suggested by a gentle horizontal line of shadow beneath, to the right side of the background curved architectural forms in slightly darker golden-brown tones provide spatial context without distracting from the central subject, the entire scene bathed in warm diffused lighting that creates gentle gradations across the background and highlights the bottle's dimensional form, the overall atmosphere suggests quiet presentation of a precious object in a controlled gallery-like environment where attention focuses completely on the refined details and material beauty of the vessel itself.

Taking cultural transformation and craft innovation as its core, this project focuses on the poetry of Su Shi and theatrical elements to design a series of cultural liquor bottles inspired by his works. Su liquor promotes traditional Chinese culture, embodies the spirit of Dongpo, and advocates for cultural confidence. By using Su liquor as a foundational element, the project creates the Su Dongpo souvenir liquor, which further contributes to the cultural identity of Yanghe and enhances the overall brand consumption experience.
