Rotunda Sale Center

Golden A' Design Award Winner 2025

This description presents a grand circular interior space designed as a luxury sales center, organized around a spectacular central chandelier installation. Scanning from top to bottom and then outward to the walls: The ceiling appears as a smooth, pale cream surface interrupted by a large circular recess approximately centered overhead, edged with a ring of soft white light that creates a glowing halo effect. Suspended from within this circular opening hangs an extraordinary chandelier installation occupying roughly the upper third of the visible space. The chandelier consists of multiple curved metal frames arranged in interlocking orbital patterns, like planetary rings tilting at various angles to one another. From these frames hang thousands of thin vertical strands—perhaps crystal, glass, or metal chain—creating a curtain-like effect that shimmers with captured light. Small spherical lights, warm white in color like captured pearls, float throughout the chandelier structure at varying heights. The overall effect suggests frozen waterfalls or crystallized rainfall suspended in space. Moving attention to the surrounding walls: A dramatic curved wall wraps around the space, clad in a mosaic of angular geometric shapes in varying shades of blue—from deep cobalt through cerulean to pale sky blue and touches of white. The pattern suggests fragmented crystals, broken ice, or abstract gemstones, creating a cool, jewel-like atmosphere. This blue tessellated surface occupies approximately the upper two-thirds of the wall height. Below this, the wall transitions to warm cream-toned stone panels with subtle vertical veining, suggesting travertine or similar natural stone, extending down to meet the floor. The floor itself consists of highly polished dark stone, nearly black with subtle veining, creating a mirror-like surface that reflects the chandelier above. At the center of the floor space, directly beneath the chandelier, sits a long rectangular display table with a bronze-toned metal base featuring an elegant pedestal design. Upon this table rests an architectural scale model showing multiple buildings in a development project, rendered in neutral tones with touches of blue-green glass.

This project features a flexible, interactive clubhouse centered around a circular design inspired by the Rotunda concept. The central hall integrates art exhibitions and social interactions, fostering a lively atmosphere and promoting communication. Its fluid layout connects functional areas, breaking traditional design boundaries and symbolizing harmony and completeness.
