Silver A' Design Award Winner 2025

Scanning this interior photograph from background to foreground, listeners encounter a reception space approximately four meters wide and three meters deep within the visible frame. The ceiling immediately commands attention through its geometric pattern of intersecting golden metallic bands forming angular triangular and diamond shapes against deep teal panels, creating a lattice-like overhead treatment that appears to float slightly below the structural ceiling. A modernist chandelier descends from center-ceiling, featuring a brass geometric framework with multiple vertical white illuminated tubes, approximately sixty centimeters in overall height. The rear wall divides into three vertical sections: two deeply textured stone panels resembling rough volcanic basalt in charcoal gray tones flank a central illuminated niche with warm amber backlighting. This niche contains three floating shelves displaying a dark teardrop-shaped decorative vase on the middle shelf and small potted plants on upper and lower shelves. Moving to the foreground left, a substantial reception counter dominates, its surface covered in the same heavily textured dark stone with pronounced granular relief creating a rough tactile quality like weathered lava rock. The counter stands approximately one meter high with a polished granite or similar stone top. A desktop telephone rests on this surface. A striking sculptural lamp at far left emits warm amber light through glass petals resembling an unfurling flower, its golden metallic base supporting the organic illuminated form. Extending from the stone counter toward the right, a smooth walnut-toned wooden surface provides warm contrast, its honey-brown color suggesting polished hardwood. The floor displays subtle geometric carpet patterns in muted taupe and gray tones. Warm lighting throughout creates an atmosphere suggesting late afternoon sunlight, with temperatures feeling cozy rather than clinical.

The design was developed based on the client's company name, Phoenix, and was inspired by the concept of Renaissance, with the aim of fostering corporate and cultural revitalization. In light of Phoenix's expertise in real estate, it seems prudent to incorporate natural materials, such as stones and wood, into every detail. The ceiling design has been meticulously crafted to embody the company's image, characterized by a heavy and substantial aesthetic. The railing of the atrium comprises three layers of laminated glass, masterfully crafted to create a sense of depth and dimensionality.
