Silver A' Design Award Winner 2025
A contemporary multi-level residential villa rendered in warm cream, slate gray, and honey timber tones rises from a gently sloping lawn of fresh spring green grass against a backdrop of mature evergreen trees and a clear pale blue sky. Scanning from background to foreground, the composition establishes depth through layered elements beginning with coniferous trees—their soft blue-green needles suggesting the cool touch of pine or cedar—that frame both sides and partially emerge behind the structure. The sky occupies the upper third, a gradient of soft cerulean fading toward white near the horizon, evoking the cool freshness of a mild spring morning. The villa itself dominates the middle ground, presenting a complex arrangement of interlocking geometric volumes. The most commanding elements are dramatic angular rooflines in deep charcoal gray—cool as slate stone to the touch—that slash diagonally across the upper portion of the structure, their sharp triangular profiles creating a dynamic silhouette against the sky. Beneath these assertive roof planes, warm honey-colored timber soffits glow like golden afternoon light on natural wood, providing visual warmth and organic texture. The primary wall surfaces present in soft cream white, smooth and substantial as plastered stone, punctuated by rectangular windows of varying sizes and generous floor-to-ceiling glass panels that appear clear and reflective like still water. Multiple balconies project from the facade at different levels, their glass railings creating transparent barriers that catch subtle reflections. To the right, an angular wing extends toward the viewer, its dramatic triangular profile creating a bold geometric gesture. The foreground lawn rises gently toward the structure, its grass rendered in fresh spring green—soft and slightly cool as new growth—with rounded evergreen shrubs providing sculptural accents. The overall atmosphere suggests tranquil sophistication, a dwelling designed for contemplative living amid natural beauty.
