Delmar Porcelain Tile

Silver A' Design Award Winner 2025

A contemporary living room interior photographed from a slightly elevated frontal perspective, featuring a dramatic floor-to-ceiling fireplace wall as the dominant central element. Scanning from background to foreground, the composition reveals layered spatial zones beginning with a forest landscape visible through floor-to-ceiling windows at left, where evergreen trees and autumn-gold foliage create a natural backdrop in warm greens, deep forest shadows, and touches of amber and orange. The main focal wall spans the full height of the generous room and divides into three vertical sections. The center section, occupying approximately one-third of the wall width, features large-format porcelain tiles with an extraordinary blue veined pattern reminiscent of precious geological stone. The surface swirls with deep ultramarine blue like ocean depths, cerulean passages bright as clear sky, silvery gray striations cool as morning mist, and warm ochre veining like threads of honey running through the composition. The veining creates a symmetrical mirror-image pattern that draws the eye upward, suggesting frozen water or crystallized atmosphere. At the lower portion of this blue central panel, a rectangular fireplace opening reveals a warm fire burning with amber, orange, and golden flames that cast a gentle glow against the cool surrounding surfaces. Flanking this central blue section, two identical panels of dark charcoal ribbed material create vertical linear texture, their parallel ridges suggesting gathered fabric or architectural fluting, cool and matte in finish. To the far right, a smooth taupe plaster wall provides tonal relief. A floating wooden shelf in warm brown tones extends horizontally across the lower wall, holding an arrangement of turned wooden vessels and decorative objects in terracotta, charcoal, and natural wood finishes. The foreground features comfortable seating in charcoal leather with a buttery soft appearance, positioned at left, while a low rectangular coffee table in rich walnut wood sits at center, its surface holding a small sculptural object. At right, a cushioned ottoman or daybed in similar charcoal leather completes the seating arrangement. The floor consists of large square tiles in muted gray-green tones suggesting polished concrete, cool and smooth underfoot.
