Silver A' Design Award Winner 2025
This fashion photograph presents a single standing figure shown from approximately mid-thigh upward, positioned centrally against a soft pale blue background that suggests open sky meeting a misty distant horizon. The figure, a young woman with short dark hair swept to one side, gazes directly forward with a calm, contemplative expression, her coral-colored lips providing a subtle warm accent. Her hands are raised to either side of her neck in a protective, cradling gesture that draws attention to the high cream-colored turtleneck beneath her coat. The garment commanding visual attention is an extraordinarily textured oversized coat featuring horizontal bands of contrasting materials. The dominant material appears plush and deep-piled, colored in warm cream and ivory tones that feel soft as lamb's wool or luxurious velvet, inviting touch. These cream sections alternate with darker bands in deep chocolate brown and charcoal tones that appear smoother, suggesting supple leather or dense woven textile. The striping creates an organic, wave-like pattern across the coat's generous silhouette, with the lines undulating rather than running perfectly straight, evoking natural geological formations or the stratified patterns visible in glacial ice. The coat's proportions are deliberately oversized, creating a cocoon-like envelope around the figure that speaks of warmth and protection. Light falls softly from the front and slightly above, creating gentle shadows beneath the chin and within the coat's interior folds, while maintaining an overall luminous, high-key quality. The atmosphere feels cool and fresh, like morning air in a northern climate, yet the enveloping coat promises warmth and comfort. The overall impression balances serene elegance with substantial material presence, suggesting both fashion refinement and connection to natural environments.
This collection is entirely made from biodegradable polyester fiber synthetic leather and faux fur. The fabric is crafted with materials that mimic the intricate textures of melting glacier surfaces, with the patterns being manually pieced together to replicate the glacier's unique forms. The textures reproduce the crisscrossing patterns of glacial landscapes. The loose, oversized silhouettes pay tribute to the grandeur and solemnity of glaciers, while varying shades of blue and organic shapes highlight their vastness and fragility.
