Ripples Tableware

Silver A' Design Award Winner 2025

This flatlay photograph presents a carefully styled arrangement of contemporary hexagonal tableware against a warm terracotta surface that extends to all edges of the square format image. Beginning at center-left, two hexagonal vessels are arranged in overlapping configuration, with a larger piece positioned behind and a smaller piece nested at its lower left corner. The larger hexagon, approximately occupying one-third of the composition's width, features bold diagonal stripes alternating between deep navy blue, like twilight sky or ripe blueberries, and soft cream resembling fresh butter or natural linen. These stripes angle from lower left to upper right, creating dynamic visual movement. The smaller hexagon in front displays the same diagonal stripe pattern but pairs bright sunshine yellow, warm as buttercups or lemon zest, with the same deep navy. Both vessels have raised dimensional surfaces where each stripe creates a ridge, suggesting a texture like gentle corrugations that would feel pleasantly grooved beneath fingertips. Natural light enters from the upper left, warming the scene and casting soft shadows to the lower right of each object, shadows that appear cool and gentle like afternoon shade. To the right of the hexagonal vessels sits a textured drinking glass, its surface appearing hammered or dimpled like tree bark, containing a golden liquid resembling orange juice or mango nectar that glows warmly with transmitted light. Below this, a small crystalline bowl with irregular organic edges, like frozen water or crackled ice, holds glistening ruby pomegranate seeds. At the lower left, a delicate botanical element with small round seed pods on thin branching stems introduces organic asymmetry. The terracotta background feels warm and earthy throughout, like sun-warmed clay tiles or dried rose petals, creating a cohesive ground that unifies all elements in domestic warmth.

The Ripples collection plays with perception and reflection in a way that challenges the viewer's understanding of space. It creates a fantastic feeling of visual magic. The designer started from the characteristics of changing, including the change of vision, surface, color, etc., and developed tray with new value, which is suitable for home and outdoor. The inspiration comes from the fun of visual angle, space folding and color change itself.
