Taravat Villa Residential

Bronze A' Design Award Winner 2025

A multi-story residential structure rises vertically before you, organized as a series of terraced horizontal levels stacked one above another, each level stepping back slightly as your mental scanning moves upward through the composition, beginning at ground level a carefully landscaped approach presents itself with smooth pale stone paving extending forward like a formal pathway, flanked on either side by meticulously shaped shrubs and rounded topiary forms suggesting spherical green masses at human waist height, small flowering plants in warm pink and golden tones cluster at the bases of larger plantings adding textural variety at ground plane, moving upward to the architectural structure itself the facade surfaces present as smooth white plaster or render with a matte finish that appears cool to touch like smooth stone or fine stucco, this white surface punctuated throughout by substantial arched openings with pointed tops reminiscent of traditional architectural forms, each arch surrounded by striking turquoise-blue rectangular frames covered in intricate patterning that suggests ceramic tilework, the turquoise color reads as cool and saturated like swimming pool water or tropical ocean shallows, the tile patterns contain detailed floral and geometric motifs that would feel slightly textured if touched like relief tilework or carved ornament, scanning horizontally across the facade the arches vary in size with the largest commanding openings positioned at middle height roughly one-third and two-thirds up the structure's total height, these major arches span perhaps one-quarter to one-third of the building width and rise through multiple floor levels, smaller subsidiary arches appear above and below creating rhythmic repetition, through the arched openings warm golden-amber light glows outward suggesting interior illumination the color of candlelight or warm evening lamps, this warm interior glow contrasts pleasantly with the cool exterior surfaces and the soft silvery-blue overcast sky visible in the upper portion of the scene, extending horizontally from the white facade at multiple levels are flat terrace surfaces that cantilever outward like outdoor rooms or balconies, delicate vertical railings in dark metal define the edges of these elevated outdoor spaces, most remarkably these terraces support abundant plantings that cascade downward over their edges in loose naturalistic masses, the foliage presents various greens from deep forest tones to fresh lime suggesting different plant species, some plants display burgundy-red or golden-yellow foliage adding warm accent colors, the cascading vegetation appears soft and yielding like flowing water or fabric in contrast to the crisp architectural geometry, suspended near several arched openings are decorative lanterns in traditional profiles with dark metal frames and amber-glowing panels adding ornamental detail and threshold emphasis, scanning to the left and right edges of the composition the forms of other vegetation appear including tree branches entering the frame from upper corners with delicate leaves suggesting gentle movement, a small dark bird silhouette appears in the upper left sky adding life and scale, the atmospheric condition throughout suggests evening twilight with diffused natural light from overcast skies blending with warm artificial illumination from within creating gentle overall luminosity without harsh shadows, the environment feels calm and still as though evening air is cooling and settling, the overall impression combines geometric architectural order with organic natural abundance, cool celestial colors with warm domestic golden tones, smooth crafted surfaces with soft living textures, formal symmetry with naturalistic asymmetry, creating a residential sanctuary that balances human design intention with natural vitality.

The villa design blends traditional Persian architecture with modern sustainability, showcasing arched openings and intricate tilework that connect the structure to the region’s cultural history. Green spaces and plants improve air quality, regulate temperature, and enhance energy efficiency. Large windows maximize natural light, fostering a connection between indoor and outdoor spaces. The landscaping, with native plants, creates inviting areas for relaxation. Overall, the design balances cultural tradition with sustainability, offering a timeless, eco-friendly living experience.
