Bronze A' Design Award Winner 2025
The visual field contains a residential dining space captured in a straight-on frontal view that allows listeners to understand the room's organization through its strong central symmetry. Beginning with an orientation to the overall space, this interior presents a refined dining area approximately twelve to fifteen feet wide and extending perhaps twenty feet in depth, characterized by cream-colored walls, a pale coffered ceiling, and polished gray flooring that reflects soft ambient light. In the immediate foreground, occupying the bottom quarter of the view, stands a distinctive dining table with a sculptural presence: its base consists of glossy black curved legs that sweep outward in an elegant cabriole shape reminiscent of antique furniture traditions, supporting a rectangular tabletop crafted from pale marble with subtle gray veining that feels cool and smooth to the imagination, like polished stone with faint natural patterns running through its surface. Upon this marble surface rests a carefully arranged vignette including a golden metallic tray holding white porcelain vessels with ornate handles, a tall golden candlestick with a yellow candle suggesting warm honey tones, and a golden vessel containing fresh white flowers with green foliage, the blooms appearing soft and delicate like peonies or roses with ruffled petals. Two black upholstered dining chairs with rounded bucket-style backs and sleek swivel bases are positioned at the table, their surfaces suggesting the smooth cool texture of finely grained leather. Moving upward and back into the middle ground, the dominant feature is a large cream-colored wall panel framed with delicate raised molding that creates a subtle relief, the molding perhaps one inch in projection, casting soft shadows that define rectangular geometry with small decorative corner blocks suggesting refined classical detailing. This panel occupies the central third of the wall, functioning as a focal point framed by symmetrical architectural elements on both sides. To the left of center, a doorway painted deep charcoal black creates striking contrast, its dark threshold suggesting passage into adjacent rooms, the opening approximately seven feet tall and three feet wide. On the right side of the composition, built-in display cabinetry with glass doors reveals illuminated shelving containing glassware and decorative objects, the interior lit with cool white LED strips that make the glass and crystal items sparkle like ice catching light, the cabinet frames painted the same warm cream as the surrounding walls with brass-toned hardware providing small accents of metallic warmth. Above, the ceiling features a coffered design with recessed panels bordered by molding, creating architectural depth and housing small recessed light fixtures that cast gentle downward illumination, the overall lighting effect being diffused and bright without harsh shadows, suggesting a space filled with soft natural daylight or carefully designed ambient artificial lighting that feels welcoming and serene. The gray flooring appears smooth and slightly reflective like polished stone or large-format tile, cool and solid underfoot. The color temperature throughout reads as warm and inviting, with cream walls suggesting the warmth of candlelight or morning sun, punctuated by the cool neutrality of marble and the sophisticated contrast of black elements. The spatial atmosphere conveys refined quietness, a sense of order and careful curation, an environment designed for gracious dining and conversation where every element has been considered and placed with intention, where materials feel substantial and enduring, and where the interplay of classical architectural vocabulary with contemporary minimalist restraint creates a timeless quality that transcends specific period or trend.
The case uses a lot of souffle color like a warm mist, gently wrapping the entire house domain, the metallic luster in the light of the lamp shines stylishly. and titanium plated strips outlining the classical lines, which perfectly demonstrates the elegant and generous temperament. This case is a refined classical residence for an entrepreneur on a business trip. During the design process, it was important to be precise with the proportions and scales, emphasizing on the details but not overly complicated, which is the key to this design.
