Golden A' Design Award Winner 2025

Three ceramic or composite vases stand grouped on a dark textured rectangular surface resembling a woven placemat, arranged with the largest at right, medium-tall at center-left, and smallest at front-left creating a triangular formation, each vase shares the same distinctive design featuring fine vertical ridges running continuously from top to bottom like the segments of a melon or the pleats of an accordion, the color throughout is a warm grey-brown suggesting natural clay or stone with the softness of suede, narrow cylindrical necks roughly one-quarter the total height taper smoothly into dramatically swelling bulbous bodies that achieve their widest diameter at approximately mid-height before curving inward to flat circular bases, around each neck loops a thin leather cord in warm caramel tan from which hangs a small rectangular tag, the largest vase measuring perhaps thirty centimeters tall contains an arrangement of dried flowers with thin pale stems supporting small round seed heads the color of wheat or pale sand, these botanical elements extend upward and outward creating organic movement against the geometric precision of the vessel, behind the vases a softly blurred domestic interior reveals horizontal window blinds filtering gentle daylight, a pale cream-colored sofa, and what appears to be a side table, the lighting is soft and even coming primarily from the window at right casting subtle shadows that emphasize the three-dimensional ribbed texture, the overall impression is one of warmth, calm, and refined simplicity, the vessels appearing simultaneously contemporary and timeless, inviting touch with their textured surfaces while commanding visual attention through their sculptural presence.

The vases from Iconic Home become objects with an extraordinary depth effect. The alternating play of deep grooves and clear lines on the outside give the vases their special aesthetic appeal. Depending on the incidence of light, the vases can be rediscovered from every angle. The iconic vases are elaborately 3D-printed from bio-based PLA in the company's own design factory in Germany. Quality takes time: layer by layer, each vase is created in a manufacturing process that takes up to 15 hours and focuses not only on the fascinating shapes but also on sustainability.
