Get Space

Golden A' Design Award Winner 2025

A large contemporary commercial building complex photographed at twilight occupies the full frame of this image, presenting warm golden-bronze tones against a deep blue evening sky. Scanning from foreground to background, a neatly trimmed green lawn with low hedge plantings establishes the ground plane in the lower left portion, the grass suggesting a soft, cool texture beneath evening dew. Moving right and deeper into the composition, a long horizontal retail arcade extends across the image width, supported by slender pale columns that create an open colonnade sheltering illuminated shopfronts below, the warm interior lighting spilling outward like honey-colored pools onto the walkway. The arcade structure features an intricate white steel canopy overhead, its geometric grid pattern resembling fine lacework, the metallic surface cool and precise to imagine touching. Rising above this pedestrian level, three distinct building volumes stack and step backward in space, each clad in vertical bronze-toned louvers that catch and filter light into rhythmic patterns of warm amber and shadow. The tallest volume at the left presents the most densely spaced vertical elements, creating a screen-like quality that softens the interior glow to a gentle luminescence, warm as candlelight seen through wooden blinds. The middle volume extends forward and rightward, its projecting canopy outlined in continuous strips of golden light that trace architectural edges with the precision of brushstrokes, the illumination warm enough to suggest sunshine preserved past sunset. Large expanses of glass curtain wall reflect the darkening sky, creating passages of cool blue-gray that provide visual relief from the predominant warmth. The sky above transitions from deep prussian blue at the top to slightly lighter tones near the horizon, perfectly still and clear, suggesting the quiet moment between day and night. Scattered points of light sparkle across the facade like stars, adding a celebratory quality to the composition.

Get Space masterfully integrates light and architecture, creating an immersive environment that fosters interaction, creativity, belonging, and cultural identity. The design employs cutting edge Led technology and adaptive controls to deliver precision illumination, balancing aesthetics, energy efficiency, and environmental compliance. By minimizing light spill and glare, it sets a new standard for sustainable urban lighting. Since its launch, Get Space has attracted 130,000 visitors in three days, earning widespread acclaim as a transformative model for vibrant, inclusive communities.
