Silver A' Design Award Winner 2025

Scanning this interior space from left to right, the composition presents a hospitality environment combining warm wooden architecture with an industrial white ceiling structure. Beginning at the left foreground, a built wooden structure with a sloping roof shape like a small house features golden-brown timber planks covering its surfaces both inside and outside. Within this wooden volume, illuminated shelving displays books and objects, with warm amber light glowing from horizontal bands creating a cozy reading nook atmosphere. Below, a built-in bench with rounded cream-colored cushions offers seating, textured like soft woven fabric. Three white spherical pendant lights hang at different heights, their surfaces smooth as frosted glass, emitting gentle diffused illumination. Moving toward the center and right, the space opens into a dining area beneath a soaring white ceiling where triangular steel trusses cross overhead like a geometric web, the metal painted bright white and the corrugated panels above suggesting industrial warehouse origins. The floor throughout is polished concrete in pale gray, smooth and reflective as still water, creating visual continuity. Wooden tables in natural oak tones are surrounded by chairs featuring backs and seats woven with cane in warm honey color, the texture suggesting basket weaving. Circular rugs beneath each table grouping feel like natural fiber, perhaps jute or sisal. Suspended from the ceiling at right, large fabric banners display black botanical illustrations and text characters in red and black against white backgrounds. Through horizontal windows at the right edge, green trees and vegetation are visible, suggesting a rural or pastoral setting beyond. The atmosphere feels warm and welcoming, like entering a light-filled community gathering space on a calm afternoon.

The Project on Lotus Island skillfully merges the pastoral charm with the idea of rural cooperative, offering an immersive agricultural tourism experience. Its design emphasizes sustainability and simplicity, blending nature with functional spaces. The use of hand-drawn visuals and natural materials creates a harmonious atmosphere, while the flexible layout, including terraces, reading areas, and tiered seating, fosters relaxation and social interaction. By balancing aesthetic appeal with practical functionality, the project provides visitors with an unique connection to nature and Community.
