Bronze A' Design Award Winner 2025
An elevated view presents an arrangement of rectangular gift boxes in a rhythmic pattern across a deep chocolate brown surface, the boxes alternate between rich emerald green and vibrant crimson red, creating a checkerboard-like distribution though not perfectly regular, allowing organic variation in placement, each box measures approximately six to eight inches in length and three to four inches in width and height based on proportional relationships within the frame, the surfaces feel smooth with a matte to subtle satin finish that would be cool and slightly yielding to touch like quality paperboard, the green boxes glow with the deep coolness of forest shade or polished jade, while the red boxes radiate warmth like ripe cherries or silken fabric dyed with vermillion, both colors are saturated to near-maximum intensity, creating visual vibrancy that suggests celebration and festive occasion, across each visible box face elaborate golden illustrations shimmer with metallic warmth, these decorative elements depict playful mascot characters in dynamic poses, some boxes show a rounded cheerful figure that might be a stylized animal or brand character rendered in flowing golden lines that catch light with bright highlights suggesting embossed or foil-stamped texture that would feel slightly raised under fingertips, other illustrations present traditional architectural silhouettes including pagoda structures with multiple tiered roofs, bamboo stalks bending gracefully, and stylized cloud forms that curl and spiral in patterns reminiscent of classical scroll painting, the golden lines possess the temperature of warm candlelight or autumn afternoon sun, providing luminous contrast against the saturated chromatic grounds, white rectangular label panels appear on several box faces, these clean geometric shapes contain brand symbols and text in organized layouts, providing visual rest points amid the decorative exuberance, the boxes stack and cluster with slight height variations creating gentle topographic undulation across the composition, some boxes stand taller while others nestle lower, their arrangement suggests both intentional display and natural accumulation, soft shadows fall along the right edges of boxes and pool in the narrow spaces between adjacent forms, these shadows possess warmth and transparency rather than deep opacity, indicating diffused lighting from upper left that illuminates the scene evenly while sculpting dimensional form, the overall atmosphere suggests festive preparation, perhaps gifts awaiting distribution during celebration, the stillness implies careful arrangement and the anticipation of ritual exchange, the quantity and variety of boxes conveys abundance and generosity, the brown ground beneath provides neutral stability that intensifies the chromatic brilliance of the green and red containers, occasional glimpses of box sides and tops reveal their three-dimensional presence as actual objects rather than flat graphics, the entire composition occupies the frame edge to edge, creating immersive pattern that surrounds the viewer with color, pattern, and decorative detail, the golden illustrations invite extended looking to discover their narrative elements and appreciate their linear grace.
The design integrates Chinese and Western elements, inspired by ancient Chinese food boxes and the Chinese style prevalent in 18th century Europe, blending Chinese and French attractions and elements. The cardboard box is decorated with Panpan logo ribbon lines, which also resemble ribbons and connect the Chinese and French elements in the illustration. The metal nameplate and limited edition logo highlight quality, with illustrations paired with embossed wheat and bamboo grain patterns.
