Brown Brothers Wine Packaging

Iron A' Design Award Winner 2025

Three sparkling wine bottles stand in vertical alignment, arranged in a row from left to right, each approximately twelve to fourteen inches in height with the classic elongated form characteristic of champagne or sparkling wine bottles, featuring gently sloping shoulders that taper from the widest diameter near the upper third down to a narrower cylindrical body, culminating in the characteristic punt or indentation at the base. Beginning with spatial orientation from left to right: The leftmost bottle presents warm golden presence, its metallic foil capsule covering the cork and neck radiating like hammered brass or rich champagne gold, catching light with subtle reflective shimmer suggesting metallic surface that feels smooth and cool like polished metal. The label occupies the lower two-thirds of the bottle against pristine white background that feels crisp and clean as fresh paper, activated by scattered illustrations of simplified human figures rendered in warm golden yellows, soft corals, turquoise blues, and touches of red, these figures appearing to dance or celebrate in poses suggesting raised arms, turned bodies, and joyful movement, their forms reduced to essential curved shapes for heads, bodies, and limbs in a style reminiscent of mid-century children's book illustration. Surrounding these figures, countless small circles in graduating sizes suggest confetti or champagne bubbles, rendered in coordinated warm palette of yellows, oranges, pinks, and blues, creating sense of festive activity and upward floating movement. Curved ribbon-like forms in coral and blue sweep across the composition adding directional flow. Behind this bottle, the background extends the golden theme through pale cream color temperature warm as morning sunlight, populated by enlarged versions of the label motifs—oversized circles in yellow and coral, sweeping curved bands suggesting marbled patterns, and additional tiny dots creating dense decorative field. The central bottle shifts toward rose-gold or warm copper territory, its metallic capsule presenting pinker, more coral-toned metallic finish that suggests sunset warmth or rose champagne character. The white label ground carries similar illustrative program but rendered in warmer peachy coral, soft rose pink, golden yellow, and touches of red and blue, the dancing figures and confetti elements maintaining compositional structure while shifting chromatic identity. The background surrounding this bottle transitions to soft blush pink, warm and gentle as faded rose petals, with decorative elements rendered in harmonizing coral, orange, rose, and yellow tones creating immersive peachy-pink environment. The rightmost bottle establishes dramatically different presence through deep jewel tones, its metallic capsule presenting midnight navy or deep aubergine purple appearing rich and luxurious as velvet, with subtle sheen suggesting smooth reflective surface. The white label continues the illustrative narrative with figures and confetti now rendered in saturated berry purples, deep plums, rich magentas, golden yellows, coral pinks, and turquoise blues, creating more saturated and vibrant chromatic intensity. The background shifts to deep saturated purple-violet, cool and rich as twilight sky or ripe plums, populated by decorative elements in coordinating purples, magentas, navy blues, and accent corals and yellows. Across all three bottles, the glass appears clear and smooth, though the liquid within remains largely obscured by label coverage and lighting, the cylindrical forms catching subtle highlights along their shoulders suggesting smooth reflective glass surface cool and hard as polished crystal. Each bottle rests on an implied surface with minimal shadow underneath providing gentle spatial grounding without strong directional shadow, the overall lighting appearing frontal and diffused like overcast daylight or studio photography creating even illumination without dramatic contrasts, allowing colors to read clearly and decorative details to remain legible throughout. The backgrounds behind each bottle extend upward and outward creating chromatic environments rather than neutral voids, these expanded fields featuring the same organic decorative vocabulary of circles, curved bands, tiny dots, stylized figures, and botanical or abstract forms creating nearly allover patterning with playful, celebratory character throughout, the entire presentation conveying festive occasion, joyful gathering, and accessible contemporary celebration inviting viewers into worlds of color, pattern, and human connection.
