King Mo Jewelry Store

Golden A' Design Award Winner 2025

A luxury jewelry retail interior unfolds before you, dominated by an extraordinary ceiling installation spanning the entire visible space. Thousands of slender white cylindrical rods descend from above, arranged in undulating wave patterns that create a sense of organic movement across the overhead plane. The rods vary in their projection depth, some extending lower to create dense clusters while others remain shorter, producing a rhythmic topography reminiscent of rolling clouds or gentle ocean swells. The ceiling treatment feels soft and enveloping, like standing beneath a canopy of pale reeds swaying in an unseen breeze. At the composition center stands a sculptural cylindrical element rising approximately two stories in height. Its surface features brushed metallic cladding with a cool silvery tone suggesting polished steel or aluminum, smooth to the touch and subtly reflective. A horizontal band of luminous cerulean blue wraps around its midsection, displaying architectural imagery on what appears to be a digital screen. Above this central cylinder, an elliptical ring floats suspended, creating a halo effect. The flooring appears as smooth light gray terrazzo or polished concrete, cool and solid underfoot. To the left, curved glass display cases with warm interior lighting present jewelry merchandise, their forms echoing the organic curves found elsewhere in the space. The overall illumination feels soft and diffused, emanating from small spotlights recessed within the ceiling rod installation, creating an atmosphere of calm luxury without harsh contrasts. The temperature of light suggests neutral to cool tones, like overcast daylight filtered through clouds. Peripheral retail spaces visible at the edges feature warmer wood tones and intimate lighting arrangements that provide visual variety while maintaining the cohesive sophisticated atmosphere.

This jewelry boutique, a composite store gathering various jewelry brands, offers a space where the allure of gems and accessories shines. Inspired by the concept of an accumulation of gems, the spatial design is crafted with a series of white rods, arranged along mathematical curves to form a structured, three-dimensional ceiling pattern. These rods create geometric shapes that change depending on the viewing angle, echoing the intricate play of light seen in the gems themselves.
