Bronze A' Design Award Winner 2025
Picture yourself entering a serene study space bathed in soft, even natural light, where the scene before you centers on an integrated furniture system composed of warm natural wood and cool white metal arranged against a pale yellow-green wall with the gentle tone of early spring growth or soft sage, beginning at the left side of the view, a tall shelving unit rises in four horizontal tiers, each shelf a smooth wooden plane in blonde honey color like polished birch or light maple, the wood grain visible as subtle linear patterns flowing horizontally across the surface, these shelves supported by slender white metal tubes forming a vertical framework at each corner and midpoint, creating an open architectural grid, the bottom two sections of this left unit feature enclosed cabinets with doors covered in tightly woven rattan caning, a geometric pattern of small circular holes arranged in regular rows creating a warm tan surface with pronounced texture like a woven basket viewed closely, these caned panels catch light and create tiny shadow dots on surfaces visible through the openings, giving the storage modules a handcrafted, tactile quality contrasting with the smooth manufactured feel of the metal frame, atop this left shelving unit sits a potted plant with trailing foliage in fresh green, its leaves cascading downward in gentle curves, bringing organic life and movement to the geometric composition, on the middle shelves rest a few books stacked horizontally and a smooth ceramic vessel in soft blush pink, its rounded form providing sculptural accent, moving rightward across the composition, a desk surface extends at comfortable working height, its rectangular top in the same warm blonde wood spanning approximately four feet in width and perhaps two feet in depth, supported by four white metal legs matching the shelving framework, the desk surface appears smooth and unadorned except for a small clear glass vase containing delicate branches with olive-green leaves and dried floral elements suggesting quiet natural beauty, beside this arrangement sits a small white cylindrical container, perhaps holding writing implements, pulled up to this desk sits a chair with white metal legs forming a gentle curve from floor to seat, the seat itself upholstered in pale neutral fabric creating a soft, yielding surface, and most distinctively, both the chair back and a second panel at seat level feature the same woven rattan caning seen in the storage cabinets, creating material continuity across the furniture pieces, the caning on the curved chair back catches light from the window, creating a warm glow as illumination filters through the perforations, to the right of the desk arrangement stands a vertical storage tower composed of alternating open cubby spaces and enclosed caned drawer units stacked in ascending rhythm, this tower reaching similar height to the left shelving unit and employing the identical material vocabulary of white metal frame, blonde wood shelving planes, and tan woven rattan panels, some modules left open for display, others enclosed for concealed storage, behind and to the right of this furniture grouping, a large window with white muntins dividing the glass into rectangular panes reveals an exterior view of evergreen trees dusted with snow, their branches heavy with white accumulation, suggesting winter season outside while the interior maintains warm, comfortable temperature, the overall lighting throughout the space feels gentle and diffuse, like an overcast day or north-facing window exposure, creating soft shadows with barely perceptible edges beneath the furniture and behind objects, the color palette throughout reads as warm neutrals, the pale greenish-yellow wall providing a backdrop that feels fresh without being assertive, the wood tones ranging from golden wheat to pale sand depending on light exposure, the white metal reading as chalky and matte rather than glossy, and the rattan caning introducing warm tan and beige tones with the visual complexity of woven texture, the floor beneath appears as smooth pale gray or off-white, extending the light, airy quality of the overall environment, texturally, the scene presents clear contrasts between the perfectly smooth matte metal tubes that would feel cool and hard to touch, the wood surfaces that would feel smooth but slightly warmer with faint grain texture discernible under fingertips, the woven rattan that would feel rough and dimensional with the raised pattern of the weave creating tactile interest, and the upholstered chair seat that would yield softly under pressure, the overall atmosphere suggests quiet concentration, organized calm, and breathing room, a workspace designed to support focused thought without visual distraction, where every element serves purpose while maintaining aesthetic refinement, the carefully chosen accessories including living plants and personal objects suggest habitation and use while maintaining the essential clarity and spaciousness of the furniture system itself, the whole composition communicating values of order, natural materials, craft tradition, functional beauty, and serene productivity.
The Pataya series ingeniously employs metal frames and natural rattan weaving materials to create a modern bohemian style. The design of its metal frame not only enables the product structure to be installed quickly and conveniently, but also achieves the effect of flat packaging. The integration of natural rattan weaving elements endows the furniture with a distinctive texture decoration. When users are in the study, they can not only enjoy the convenience and efficiency brought by modern life, but also closely embrace the natural atmosphere and obtain a unique experience.
