Bronze A' Design Award Winner 2025

A symmetrical dining environment unfolds before you, organized around a central vertical element that divides the view into two nearly identical arched alcoves, each containing its own intimate seating arrangement and glowing backdrop. Beginning with spatial orientation, the composition reads from front to back in three distinct zones: a foreground area of smooth, matte flooring in soft taupe or greige tones that feels cool and firm underfoot; a middle zone populated by rounded dining furniture in warm sage and olive green upholstery that would feel plush and yielding to touch, the fabric suggesting soft velvet or chenille with visible channel tufting creating regular vertical ridges; and a background zone of luminous vertical surfaces that glow with warm amber light filtered through translucent ribbed panels. The central architectural column, perhaps two feet wide, rises from floor to ceiling in warm terracotta or dusty mauve tones, its surface reading as rough and granular like fine-textured stucco or mineral-rich ceramic with tiny visible particles that would feel slightly coarse and chalky if touched, evoking weathered clay or compressed earth. This column anchors twin arched openings, each arch describing a perfect semicircle approximately eight to ten feet wide and reaching ceiling height, their inner curves also finished in the same warm earth tone with similar granular texture. Within each arched alcove, the spatial experience mirrors the other: against the back wall, a luminous surface of creamy off-white or pale ivory glows with warm illumination from concealed sources above, this light filtering through vertical ribbing—imagine closely spaced parallel ridges perhaps an inch apart creating a texture like fine-grain corduroy or washboard grooves—that diffuses the glow into soft repeating bands of light and shadow running from ceiling to floor. Suspended before each backlit wall hangs delicate greenery, living plants with small rounded leaves in fresh spring green and chartreuse that dangle and cascade naturally, their organic irregularity contrasting with the architectural geometry, evoking the cool freshness of herbs or vine plants and suggesting the faint vegetal scent of growing things. Below each plant arrangement, a pendant light fixture descends on a slender matte black rod, terminating in an elegant ovoid globe of ribbed translucent material—picture a large egg shape with vertical grooves running its surface—that diffuses warm yellowish light, suggesting the quality of early evening sunlight or candlelight warmth. These pendant fixtures hover above circular wooden dining tables perhaps three feet in diameter, their surfaces a pale natural wood tone suggesting smooth, sealed hardwood cool to the touch, each table set with minimal ceramic tableware in cream and earth tones and simple glassware. Surrounding each table, four to six upholstered dining chairs in soft olive and sage green hues present rounded, enveloping forms with generous channel-tufted backs that would cradle diners comfortably, their surfaces appearing soft and inviting, legs in dark wood or metal providing structural support. In the left foreground, a large-leafed potted plant—perhaps a bird of paradise or similar tropical species with broad paddle-shaped leaves in deep forest green—adds sculptural presence and height, its scale providing human reference point. The overall lighting suggests the warmth of late afternoon or early evening, with no harsh shadows but rather gentle gradations creating intimate, enveloping atmosphere, the warm color temperature throughout evoking comfort and relaxation like being wrapped in a soft blanket. The space feels quiet and still, suggesting the hushed ambiance of a refined dining room where conversation would be the primary sound, perhaps accompanied by the subtle clink of glassware and the soft rustle of fabric as diners settle into their seats, the air still and temperature-controlled, neither warm nor cool but perfectly balanced for sustained comfort.

Lucent is the heart of the Lumin Collection, where every beam and shadow weaves a narrative of warmth, reflection, and serenity. This collection captures the ethereal dance of light as it graces surfaces. As rays bend to reveal the delicate green beneath, they cast fleeting patterns of life and nature's beauty. Lucent with the Evodry effect and high-quality porcelain features, illustrates the transparency of glass, unveiling gentle whispers of the world beyond through refraction.
