Silver A' Design Award Winner 2025
This large-format concert photograph captures a spectacular live music performance viewed from within the audience. Scanning from background to foreground, the upper two-thirds of the image is dominated by an enormous swirling spiral galaxy formation created from thousands of glowing particles in warm amber, copper, and gold tones, with a brilliant white-hot center positioned slightly above the middle of the frame. The spiral arms sweep outward in graceful curves, the color transitioning from intense near-white warmth at the core to deep burnt orange and sienna at the edges, evoking the sensation of gazing into a cosmic furnace or watching embers spiral upward from a great fire. Positioned along the upper portion of the spiral, five performers stand in silhouette on an elevated rectangular platform, their dark figures small against the immense celestial backdrop yet clearly defined, including musicians with instruments and a central figure in flowing attire. Below this main stage, moving downward through the composition, geometric rectangular structures arranged symmetrically display the same warm particle imagery on LED screens, creating architectural stepping formations. At the center of these lower structures, a solitary figure stands on an illuminated walkway that extends toward the viewer, their reflection visible on the glossy surface beneath them. The entire lower third of the image shows the audience area, appearing as a sea of darkness punctuated by countless tiny lights like handheld stars, creating a mirror effect to the galaxy above. The overall atmosphere feels warm and enveloping, like standing near a gentle fire while gazing at infinite space, with the scale suggesting a vast arena transformed into a cosmic theater where human presence communes with celestial immensity.
Mayday's Fly to 2022 is a milestone tour after their non audience online concert amid Covid-19. The show started in a small rehearsal room, moving to an empty Stadium, and ending with a live audience, symbolizing a global return to normalcy from lockdowns. Unlike their previous lavish setups, this tour focuses on pure imagery to convey human emotions and highlight people centric themes like global environmental issues, pandemic related social challenges, daily life, and human relationships. Performances aim to allow audiences to empathize and release emotions, creating positive social impact.
