Golden A' Design Award Winner 2025
Scanning from top to bottom through this large-format concert stage photograph, the composition presents a dramatic architectural environment dominated by a massive suspended circular truss structure against a deep black background. Beginning at the uppermost region, two concentric rings of silver aluminum trusses form an enormous halo approximately spanning the full width of the image, supporting arrays of theatrical lighting fixtures that read as small geometric shapes against the darkness. Eight towering vertical truss columns, cool silver like industrial scaffolding, rise from the stage level to support this overhead ring, creating a colonnade effect that frames the central performance area. The space between these structures fills with atmospheric haze rendered in cool violet-blue tones suggesting twilight or deep water, softening all edges and creating luminous volumetric rays where light beams pierce through. At the composition's center, occupying perhaps one-fifth of the image width, a brilliant white rectangular light portal serves as the brightest element, warm and intense like concentrated sunlight. Before this portal stands a single small figure, the performer, appearing approximately one-twentieth the image height, creating dramatic scale contrast. Flanking the central stage, vertical strips of LED lighting cascade downward in cool blue tones suggesting digital waterfalls or hanging light curtains. The background features large LED screens displaying abstract crystalline patterns in soft violet and white, extending perceived depth. The foreground shows the darkened audience area where hundreds of small warm lights, amber and magenta like scattered gems, indicate held devices and glow sticks, creating textural warmth against the cool architectural framework. The overall atmosphere feels immersive and cathedral-like, simultaneously industrial and ethereal.
The stage adopts a miniature four sided design, offering a broader view and supporting interactive performances. The extended platform, featuring a large circular structure, enhances immersion and symbolizes the connection between the artist and the audience. In the fourth section, a circular installation surrounds the stage, evoking a journey of departure, exploration, and return.
