Scanning from the elevated viewpoint downward through this interior reading space, listeners will construct a double-height room approximately six to eight meters tall with walls finished in warm honey-colored wood panels arranged in vertical strips with gentle curved profiles suggesting the soft undulation of fabric draped from ceiling to floor. Beginning in the upper portion of the composition, the ceiling plane appears as a flat white surface from which six large spherical pendant lights are suspended at varying heights, these globes finished in pure matte white with diameters ranging from approximately thirty centimeters to perhaps eighty centimeters, their forms as round and smooth as giant pearls floating in the architectural space. Moving down to the middle zone, these suspended spheres create a three-dimensional constellation that occupies the central volume, their white surfaces catching the abundant natural light and glowing softly against the warm wood backdrop. The left side of the space features floor-to-ceiling windows spanning two stories, their clear glass revealing glimpses of outdoor vegetation including trees with green foliage, this glazed wall allowing cool natural daylight to flood the interior creating an atmosphere as fresh and bright as a spring morning. Against the back wall rises an impressive shelving system constructed from the same pale golden wood, organized in a precise grid of rectangular compartments extending from floor to ceiling, each shelf displaying books whose spines create horizontal bands of color including warm reds like ripe cherries, cool blues reminiscent of clear sky, and verdant greens suggesting forest leaves. In the foreground at floor level, two human figures stand before this shelving wall, an adult wearing gray clothing positioned at right and a smaller child in light-colored garments at left, both appearing absorbed in examining books, their postures suggesting the focused attention of readers making selections. To the immediate left of these figures sits a sculptural furniture element consisting of three circular platforms stacked in decreasing size like a tiered wedding cake, finished in matching warm wood and displaying an array of colorful books laid flat for browsing. The flooring appears as smooth pale stone or porcelain with a subtle reflective quality suggesting a polished surface cool and firm underfoot. Near the window, several potted plants with feathery green fronds introduce organic texture, their presence adding the implied freshness of living vegetation. A built-in bench seat along the right wall features cushioning in muted blue, offering a soft resting place that contrasts with the predominant wood and white material palette.
The first floor of this case is mainly a reading area, with a stepped platform to create a comfortable reading environment for children. The book wall on the left emphasizes the high ceiling, the mezzanine creates a Japanese atmosphere, combining reading, meeting and eating functions, and the second floor is a classic American style study room, with the image of a book wall and glass display case and fireplace, creating a warm atmosphere for the space. With a two way seated sofa, it meets the needs of reading and retains the possibility of private space.
