Silver A' Design Award Winner 2024

Scanning this interior architectural photograph from background to foreground reveals a sophisticated clubhouse space defined by distinctive sculptural elements and warm natural materials, the image presents a wide horizontal view of a double-height interior volume, beginning at the far background, floor-to-ceiling windows span the full width, covered by translucent white curtains that glow softly with filtered daylight, creating an even, gentle illumination throughout the space, the ceiling extends across the entire upper portion, composed of closely spaced horizontal wooden slats in warm honey and amber tones, like rows of natural grain running parallel, these slats create a rhythmic linear texture suggesting the warmth and slight roughness of natural oak, rising dramatically through the center and extending toward the right, two remarkable white columns command attention, their surfaces smooth as porcelain and pure white, each column is slender at its base where it meets the dark reflective floor, then gradually widens as it rises, culminating in a broad circular disc that appears to float just beneath the wooden ceiling, these forms might feel cool and smooth to the touch, with a matte finish that softly absorbs light, in the left third of the image, a glass-enclosed display case rises like a tall cabinet, inside visible miniature landscapes with small plants, rocks, and decorative objects arranged on stepped shelves, this terrarium glows gently with interior lighting, before this display stands a service counter featuring green-veined marble, cool as polished stone, with a base of golden geometric panels arranged in a chevron pattern suggesting warm metal, the floor throughout appears as deep charcoal, highly polished and reflective like still water, mirroring the columns and ceiling above, to the right, comfortable seating in soft sage green and cream tones invites rest, while wooden shelving along the back wall displays books and objects illuminated by warm accent lighting, the overall atmosphere feels serene and welcoming, like entering a naturally lit sanctuary where organic forms and warm materials create a sense of calm refuge.

Weifang, located in the west of Shandong Peninsula, has a good reputation as a national eco-garden city. The urban construction follows the integration of architecture and nature, utilizing the planning concept of Let the city be in the forest, the forest be in the city, to create green ecological buildings. In this project of space design, the designer will continue this concept of urban planning at the same time into the design. Plant a forest under the shell of the building, shape a living space, and open up the expectation of future life in the interaction with nature.
