This aerial photograph presents a large contemporary sports stadium complex viewed from above at an oblique angle, showing the full extent of the facility and its surrounding landscape context. Scanning from the background toward the foreground, the distant portion of the image reveals an urban landscape extending toward a hazy horizon, with numerous residential towers of varying heights rendered in muted blue-greys and warm terracotta tones, their forms softened by atmospheric haze suggesting considerable distance. Moving closer, a substantial body of water stretches horizontally across the middle ground, its surface carrying the cool steel-grey reflection of the overcast sky above, with a quality suggesting calm conditions, bordered by rows of mature trees whose canopies appear as deep green and chartreuse masses creating a natural buffer zone. The stadium itself dominates the lower two-thirds of the composition, presenting as a sweeping organic form roughly ovoid in plan, distinguished by a continuous ribbon element in steel blue-grey that flows around its entire perimeter like a gentle wave frozen in motion, this elevated promenade supported by a rhythmic colonnade of vertical structural members creating shadowed passages beneath. Within this encircling ribbon, the athletic facilities reveal themselves in warm and cool chromatic harmony: a rectangular playing field covered in grass ranging from sage to deeper forest green depending on light conditions occupies the center, surrounded by a running track in rich terracotta or burnt sienna that would feel warm like sunbaked earth, its color providing the most saturated hue in the composition. A dramatic canopy structure in brilliant white spans approximately one-third of the stadium's western edge, its tensile membrane forming peaks and valleys reminiscent of wind-filled sails or billowing fabric, catching the diffused light and appearing luminous against the more subdued tones surrounding it. The texture of this canopy suggests the taut smoothness of stretched technical textile. Additional training fields appear to the right in striped patterns of green and amber. The overall atmospheric quality is soft and diffused, with even illumination suggesting overcast conditions that render shadows minimal and colors slightly muted yet harmonious.

Pinghu Sports Center is adjacent to East Lake Park and close to Changsheng Road on the west side. The total land area is 146,204.13 m2, the building covers an area of 26,356.86 m2 after renovation and extension, with a total construction area of 24,440.19 m2. There are basketball, badminton, volleyball, tennis courts, football fields, and other sports fitness venues, which is a public sports infrastructure open to the citizens.
