Silver A' Design Award Winner 2024
A luminous corporate reception space unfolds before you, dominated by an extraordinary sculptural ceiling installation that will anchor your mental image of this environment. Beginning overhead, imagine a vast elliptical depression carved into the white ceiling, like a shallow bowl or crater approximately four meters across, its smooth matte surface curving gently downward toward a central circular opening that glows with soft, diffused light the temperature of overcast daylight, neither warm nor cool but perfectly balanced. This oculus emits illumination that floods the entire space without creating harsh shadows, as if the room exists beneath a portal to an endlessly bright sky. Moving your attention downward, the walls curve and flow rather than meeting at sharp corners, finished in pristine white with a subtle texture like fine plaster, smooth and cool to imagined touch. To the left, a large rectangular screen or display panel in deep matte black creates a striking contrast against the white surroundings, approximately two meters wide and positioned at eye level. Surrounding this dark rectangle, the wall features a pattern of small circular perforations, like a constellation of stars, densest near the screen and gradually dispersing outward. The floor beneath consists of white marble with delicate gray veining resembling thin brushstrokes or natural river patterns, polished to a reflective sheen that mirrors the ceiling above and doubles the sense of luminosity. Thin lines of embedded light trace gentle curves across the floor surface, glowing softly like streams of moonlight on water. To the right stands a reception desk fashioned from glossy white material, its form undulating in horizontal waves like geological strata or frozen ripples, approximately waist height with flowing organic contours. Behind the desk, vertical ribbed panels in soft gray create a rhythmic pattern like closely spaced reeds or organ pipes. Small green plants provide the only organic color accents, their foliage suggesting freshness and life within this pristine environment. The overall atmosphere feels tranquil, expansive, and ethereally luminous.
The design team wanted to create a multi-spatial form that blurs the boundaries, where people walk freely and work effectively in the space of different interfaces, and this rhythmic and rhythmic change will also form beauty and imagination in people's feelings. The designer uses symbols with an Eastern context to decorate the main room and the secondary room of the independent trading room, bringing aesthetics to the space, and giving a beautiful vision to the enterprise.
