Snow Peak Visual Identity

Silver A' Design Award Winner 2023

This audio description presents a brand identity flat-lay arrangement photographed from directly above against a medium gray surface that feels cool and neutral like slate or polished concrete. Beginning at the upper left, a formal letter on white paper displays the name Daniel Fernandez in a warm terracotta accent, followed by paragraphs of body text in a soft gray that reads as quiet and unobtrusive. Moving rightward, a large presentation folder stands partially open, its white exterior face bearing a hand-drawn illustration of mountain peaks with the words identifying the hospitality establishment below in delicate lettering. The folder's visible interior panel features a striking pattern of vertical gray lines of varying heights arranged in rhythmic clusters, suggesting rainfall or abstract mountain silhouettes rendered as gentle graphite marks against cream-white paper. Continuing to the right edge, arranged in a vertical column, rest a white USB memory stick with subtle branded markings, a silver and white pen, a small square notepad bearing the mountain logo, and a spiral-bound notebook whose cover displays the vertical line pattern cascading diagonally like a gentle waterfall of warm gray marks. Returning to the lower portion, the left side presents business cards in both black and white variants, the dark card featuring the mountain illustration and text reversed to white, while adjacent cards show contact information in the same restrained typography. A sharpener, eraser, and white pencil occupy the center-left, their simple forms providing scale reference. The composition's heart contains a rectangular photograph of misty mountain ridges receding into atmospheric blue-gray distance, layer upon layer softening toward a pale horizon, evoking the cool dampness of high-altitude air and the profound quiet of remote wilderness. The overall impression suggests refined hospitality, mountain serenity, and thoughtful attention to every touchpoint of guest experience.

Recognition is an important evaluation index in logo design. How to use a simple design language to integrate the hotel with the complex and changeable landmark Potala Palace is one of the difficulties in the whole design. The Potala Palace is a holy building in the eyes of Tibetans. Therefore, the design team refined the most representative element pillars as design elements, and created the image of the three-dimensional Potala Palace through two-dimensional techniques, so that the annotation conveyed a strong regional style.
