Footsync Multifunctional App

Golden A' Design Award Winner 2023

This presentation displays a collection of smartphone screens arranged diagonally across the viewing area, creating a pattern that moves from upper left toward lower right. The background consists of deep purple-black tones, cool like a twilight sky, against which fifteen or more device screens float at consistent angles. Beginning at the upper left, a screen shows text reading Footlight Square with an image of flowing landscape forms in hot pink and cyan beneath purple trees. Adjacent screens display user profiles with circular avatar images, statistical charts with curved lines in cyan tones, and product information with three-dimensional rendered objects in metallic purple finishes. Moving toward the center, the largest and most prominent screen shows four diamond shapes arranged in a cluster, each faceted form transitioning from cool cyan at top to warm magenta at bottom, appearing to glow softly against the dark background like gems catching light. The diamonds have smooth surfaces suggesting polished glass or crystal. Surrounding this central screen, additional interfaces present maze games with glowing path lines, grid-based puzzles with colored squares in green, orange, and blue, memory games featuring the word Simon, numerical displays showing ages and levels, and profile configuration screens with illustrated human figures wearing accessories. The overall color temperature feels cool with occasional warm accents, the cyans suggesting ice or digital light, the magentas carrying warmth like neon signage at dusk. Text elements appear in clean sans-serif typography, predominantly white against dark backgrounds for clear contrast. Interactive buttons feature rounded corners and gradient fills, tactile-looking despite their digital nature. The arrangement creates a sense of organized abundance, each screen a window into different functional areas of a unified application experience.

Footsync is a piece of Footlight Square, a project that implements interactive lights as a medium to achieve several objectives, producing cognitive games to prevent the appearance of neurological diseases or a giant-interface pump track among other elements. Footsync responds to the need to benefit from Footlight's catalogue when not possible to visit the installations. Aesthetically the App implements a visual language developed for the project, called Lightmorphism, which seeks to transmit the experience people get when using the interactive lights at Footlight Square's facility.
