Shuffle Bar and Lounge

Silver A' Design Award Winner 2023

A dramatic bar and lounge interior unfolds before us with the composition organized along a central corridor that recedes into the distance creating strong depth perception. Scanning from top to bottom we encounter first the remarkable ceiling installation consisting of hundreds of inverted bottles arranged in wave-like rows each glowing with warm amber light reminiscent of candlelight or aged whiskey creating an undulating sculptural canopy that spans nearly the entire ceiling visible in the frame. The bottles appear creamy white or pale champagne in color and their collective illumination casts a honeyed warmth throughout the space like late afternoon sunlight filtering through translucent material. Moving downward to the left side we find intimate seating arrangements with channel-tufted banquettes in deep forest green or charcoal tones that would feel cool and plush to the touch supported by frames in warm copper or terracotta orange. Geometric neon signs in cool mint or aqua tones punctuate the dark walls offering visual counterpoint. The right side features an extensive bar counter extending perhaps thirty feet into the space its front facade composed of vertical ribbed metallic panels in warm bronze with large numerals visible suggesting perhaps seat positions or decorative typography. The bar surface appears dark and reflective like polished stone cool and smooth. At the far end a glowing archway trimmed in soft amber light frames a shadowy alcove where blue-violet accent lighting creates mysterious depth. The floor throughout displays chevron-patterned parquet in warm honey oak tones that would feel solid and grounding underfoot. The overall atmosphere suggests warmth intimacy and sophisticated nocturnal elegance like being enveloped in a jewelry box of light and luxury.

Shuffle executive lounge and club is a unique social space that acts as a filter between its internal space and the city outside. The club is designed with different spaces along a progressive path. The path starts from the minimal façade to the reception area with over a hundred illuminated cylinders, then proceeding to the lounge area, which is decorated with 300 bottles that are programmed to illuminate along with the music. Each space is a temporal field giving a unique sensory space.
