Freelight Luminaire

Golden A' Design Award Winner 2022

Scanning this square-format photograph, the listener encounters a contemporary lighting installation photographed within a corner of a minimalist interior space. The overall impression is one of elegant simplicity, with glowing white forms creating graceful curves against neutral surroundings. Beginning with the architectural context, two walls meet at a corner running vertically through the center of the frame, both surfaces finished in a soft warm gray like morning fog or unbleached linen. The ceiling plane visible in the upper portion shares this same neutral tone, creating an enveloping environment of visual calm. Mounted where the ceiling meets the walls, a thin black track system forms a precise right angle, following the corner geometry and extending toward both frame edges, the material suggesting powder-coated metal with a matte finish like soft charcoal. Suspended from this track are two continuous loops of tubular light, each forming a U-shaped curve that dips downward into the space. The illuminated tubes emit a pure, cool white light reminiscent of fresh snow in sunlight or moonlight on water, maintaining consistent brightness along their entire length without visible variation. The leftmost loop descends from near the left edge, curving smoothly downward to a lowest point approximately at center-left of the frame before rising to connect at the corner junction. The second loop continues from this junction point, mirroring the first as it curves down toward the right side of the composition. The forms suggest the gentle draping of silk ribbon or the natural curve of a jump rope at rest. The tubes themselves appear smooth and cylindrical, perhaps two centimeters in diameter, their surfaces diffusing light evenly like frosted glass warmed from within. The overall atmosphere conveys sophisticated tranquility, the luminous curves providing both functional light and sculptural interest within the understated architectural setting.

Cylindrical track luminaire for Infinity system. The luminaire produces light with its whole surface, 360 degrees beam angle. Flexible neon allows to make the luminaire in any shape you want and create unique lighting compositions and art objects. 1,6 or 5 m length. The luminaire is easy to install in the track. Patented Dali Click mechanical fixation adapter guarantees that the luminaire will not fall out. Low-voltage ensures complete electrical safety. Flexible neon used in all Freelight series luminaires is odorless, does not exude any harmful chemicals and has complete ecological safety.
