Golden A' Design Award Winner 2022
This interior retail and hospitality space is organized around a dramatic central bar area with a curved white counter occupying the lower portion of the composition. Beginning overhead and dominating the upper half of the view, a spectacular chandelier installation descends in concentric rings, each ring appearing as a warm golden hoop of light with reflective metallic surfaces between them, creating a spiral or vortex effect that draws the eye upward and inward simultaneously. The rings graduate in size, larger at the top and progressively smaller as they descend, suggesting perhaps four to five visible tiers before the structure continues beyond the frame. Surrounding this central chandelier, the entire ceiling is covered in a highly reflective metallic material with an irregular, crumpled texture like foil that has been deliberately creased and manipulated, creating thousands of small faceted surfaces that catch and reflect light in warm amber and golden tones. The overall effect resembles liquid metal frozen in motion, cool and smooth to imagine touching yet visually warm like honeyed light or late afternoon sunshine. Below this celestial canopy, the curved bar counter sweeps from left to center, its front panel glowing with soft white illumination like milk glass or frosted ice, cool and serene against the warmth above. Four tall barstools with slim black metal frames and vertical back slats are positioned along the counter, their dark silhouettes providing visual anchoring. Behind the bar, glass shelving displays numerous bottles in amber, clear, and deeper tones, while staff members appear as gentle blurs suggesting movement and activity. To the right, cool violet and cyan lighting provides temperature contrast, suggesting additional retail or display areas beyond. The atmosphere feels energetic yet welcoming, luxurious yet accessible.
The fantasy factory with on-site baking as the core selling point, integrates tea, retail, IP gifts, and bar sectors to create a multi-functional factory store. The design concept FTY was extracted from Factory. F stands for Fair. For large flow of people and rich product categories, the space was planed in the way of a market. T stands for Time. The color of the shop is extracted from the color changes of the sky, implying time changes of a day. Y refers to You (customers). The different You in the mirror is extended to the multi-dimensional interactive device.
