Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde Office Space

Golden A' Design Award Winner 2022

This interior environment presents a generous double-height workspace with exposed industrial infrastructure overhead. Scanning from the ceiling downward, massive curved blue pipes traverse the concrete slab, their saturated color like a clear summer sky against the neutral gray ceiling. Linear white light fixtures extend in angular patterns, creating geometric brightness throughout the volume. Yellow pipes add cheerful accents above, warm as afternoon sunshine. Moving to the foreground left, a long dark marble bar counter with swirling white veining extends into the space, surrounded by saddle-brown leather stools on delicate black wire frames, their seats appearing soft and welcoming like well-worn riding equipment. Behind the bar, black metal shelving displays decorative spherical lights clustered together like soap bubbles catching light. A generous bouquet of pink peonies and multicolored flowers provides a soft, fragrant focal point. The middle ground features a spacious seating area with a plush sofa upholstered in deep blue velvet, appearing as inviting as a comfortable bed, positioned atop an ornate traditional rug in warm brick red and cream tones with intricate medallion patterns. Small wire-frame side tables in geometric shapes flank the seating. To the right, a tall brass floor lamp curves gracefully overhead. Large tropical plants with long sword-like leaves reach upward throughout the space, their deep green suggesting humid garden air. Floor-to-ceiling windows along the right side filter light through sheer blue curtains, creating soft, cool illumination like early morning twilight. Glass-walled meeting rooms visible in the background contain additional seating. A black metal staircase with mesh railings ascends to a mezzanine level at center left. The concrete floor beneath presents a smooth, cool gray surface. The overall atmosphere suggests a creative professional environment balancing industrial rawness with domestic comfort.

Tavex's new corporate family home is a two-purpose space: a functional, convenient office environment during the day and a party venue in the evenings. The goal was making it accessible and welcoming for each employee regardless of where they usually work, a veritable heaven for everyone; creating the right environment for social interaction, one that encourages bonding and communication; creating a workspace that constantly feeds creativity.
