Golden A' Design Award Winner 2022

This aerial photograph presents a landscape architectural design viewed directly from above, showing an expansive forested area with architectural structures integrated within. Beginning with overall orientation, the image is square in format, dominated by the deep green of mature tree canopy occupying approximately eighty percent of the visible area. The trees present rounded, full crowns in varying shades of green, from deep forest green to brighter lime tones, with occasional touches of golden yellow suggesting autumn transition. Moving to the architectural elements, a prominent elevated walkway curves through the forest in a flowing S-shape, its surface appearing as a warm terracotta or rust-brown color reminiscent of sun-warmed clay or weathered metal, creating striking contrast against the cool green surroundings. This pathway feels approximately one to two meters wide and winds from the lower left through the center, creating a meandering journey through the trees. At the center of the composition sits an elliptical gathering space, its outer ring matching the walkway's warm brown coloring, while interior rings alternate between cool silvery-white, like polished stone, and darker textured bands. This creates a target-like pattern approximately fifteen meters in diameter. To the right, a circular structure features the same warm brown perimeter with a dark textured interior surface suggesting mesh or grating. The lighting appears soft and even, as on an overcast day, casting gentle shadows beneath the trees without harsh contrasts. The atmosphere feels peaceful, contemplative, and harmonious, the architectural forms appearing to embrace rather than dominate their natural setting. Small white triangular markers appear along portions of the pathway, suggesting wayfinding or decorative elements.
