Fuzhou Marriott Riverside Hotel

Golden A' Design Award Winner 2021

This description presents a hotel lobby interior viewed from an elevated perspective looking across the space. The format is architectural interior photography in landscape orientation. Beginning with the overall impression, this is a grand double-height space suffused with soft natural light from tall windows at left, creating an atmosphere of luminous calm and refined hospitality. The color temperature throughout suggests warmth tempered by cool stone, like late afternoon light filtering into a space of polished mineral surfaces. At the distant center, rising between tall grey marble columns that feel smooth and cool as polished river stone, hangs a large vertical decorative panel approximately two stories in height. This panel displays warm golden and amber geometric patterns suggesting stylized mountains or architectural forms floating among cream-colored cloud shapes against a dark chocolate background, creating a focal point of warmth and cultural resonance. Moving to the foreground, occupying the lower third of the composition, two rectangular tables with warm reddish-brown wood surfaces and white bases hold stacked publications and rest upon a pale area rug with subtle curved linear patterns. To their right, three tall black cylindrical vessels containing upright green palm fronds and clusters of pale yellow-green orchids create vertical accents reaching toward the ceiling. The seating throughout combines curved armchairs and sofas in cream, taupe, and deep teal blue-green, arranged in conversational groupings. Above, dark circular disc-shaped elements punctuate the white ceiling, from which hang cylindrical light fixtures emitting warm amber illumination like captured sunset. The floor presents grey wood arranged in herringbone pattern, while at right, stairs with illuminated edges ascend toward a mezzanine level visible through metal-framed glass railings.
