Vortex Fireplace

Golden A' Design Award Winner 2021

Scanning this image from background to foreground, listeners will construct a scene of refined contemporary interior design featuring a striking suspended fireplace as its central element. The most distant layer consists of lush green foliage, a dense living wall or hedge of deep hunter green leaves with occasional lighter yellow-green highlights, suggesting a thriving vertical garden pressing close against the building exterior. This verdant mass fills approximately two-thirds of the background, creating a sense of abundant natural life with textures that might feel cool and slightly waxy to the touch, like laurel or privet leaves. Dividing the interior from this garden, a wall of floor-to-ceiling windows rises in a regular grid pattern, the black steel frames creating rectangular divisions that introduce geometric order against the organic tangle beyond. The glass appears clear and clean, allowing the green to read vividly while thin vertical white structural elements punctuate the glazing at regular intervals. Descending from above and commanding the center of the composition, a slender rectangular chimney pipe in matte charcoal gray extends downward, its surface suggesting brushed or powder-coated steel that would feel cool and slightly textured beneath fingertips. This vertical element connects at its lower terminus to the primary focal point: a hexagonal suspended fireplace basin floating at roughly chest height. The hearth resembles a faceted geometric form, like a cut gem or crystalline mineral rendered in dark gray metal, with six angled planes creating chamfered edges that catch light differently across each surface. The basin opens upward to receive flames, its interior appearing as deep matte black. The overall form suggests something substantial yet impossibly suspended, defying the visual weight of its apparent metallic mass. At the composition's lower left corner, a glimpse of warm honey-toned wood flooring and what appears to be a copper or rose-gold vessel introduces warmth against the predominantly cool palette. The atmosphere feels serene, contemplative, and luxurious.

The Vortex is customized by the lightness of its asymmetrical form, referring to an imagery of space deformation, resulting in its striking image and dominant presence. Breaking with any definite convention of beauty, Vortex assumes itself as a brand image, establishing a new paradigm of fire harmony. Vortex presents two different combustion solutions: Traditional Wood and with a Bioethanol Automatic Burner.
