Living The Noom Housing

Platinum A' Design Award Winner 2021

This aerial view presents a residential architectural complex nestled within dense tropical forest, featuring two prominent tower structures and surrounding facilities. Beginning with orientation, the image shows buildings photographed from above at an angle, with the scene bathed in bright natural daylight suggesting midday tropical conditions. The dominant tower occupies the upper left portion, rising approximately four to five stories with a distinctive curved, tapered form reminiscent of a vessel or seed pod. Its exterior consists of closely spaced vertical timber slats in warm honey and golden tones, the color suggesting sun-warmed wood smooth to the touch. Between these slats, abundant green vegetation cascades downward, the leaves ranging from deep forest green to bright lime, creating a living wall effect. The tower is crowned with a rooftop terrace featuring blue-gray solar panels that catch the light, surrounded by planted areas where small human figures can be seen, establishing scale. Moving right, a second similar tower appears partially visible, sharing the same organic curved profile and timber-and-vegetation treatment. In the foreground occupying the lower center, a swimming pool extends in an organic curved shape, its water a brilliant turquoise blue suggesting cool refreshing depths, clear enough to see gentle ripples and one floating figure. The pool is bordered by warm brown timber decking where several people relax on white loungers. Surrounding everything, lush jungle vegetation creates a green embrace, with palm fronds, broadleaf trees, and dense canopy in countless shades from yellow-green to deep emerald extending to the image edges, suggesting humid warmth and the gentle sounds of tropical forest.

The project is based on 3 main axes; Wellness Living, Sustainability and Flexible Living. It aims to propose a new housing concept for the real estate market. A housing concept that offers wellness and sustainable features that benefit health and the environment, with a low density and low land occupancy percentage while maintaining a competitive and affordable price. It also offers Flexible Living because it is designed as an open-plan building that can be configured in multiple options and satisfy different needs.
