Scanning from upper background toward lower foreground, this aerial photograph captures an expansive urban landscape dominated by a long elevated railway viaduct extending diagonally across the frame from lower left toward upper right distance. The viaduct rises approximately three to four stories above ground level, supported by evenly spaced concrete columns in a warm gray tone reminiscent of weathered limestone, their surfaces catching gentle sunlight with soft shadows falling to one side. Atop this structure run two parallel rail lines, the dark metal tracks flanked by gravel ballast in muted brown tones. Below and to the right of the elevated structure unfolds a verdant linear park, a green corridor featuring clusters of mature trees with canopies in deep forest green interspersed with lighter chartreuse tones of younger vegetation and maintained lawns. Pale pathways in cream or light gray tones wind through this parkland, creating gentle meandering routes for pedestrians. Near the lower portion, preserved historic rail tracks embedded in the ground surface suggest the former ground-level railway alignment, now integrated as heritage elements within the park design. To the left edge, traditional temple buildings display characteristic curved rooflines in rich terracotta orange and deep teal green, their ornate forms contrasting with surrounding modern residential towers in neutral gray and cream tones. The atmospheric condition reads as bright but slightly hazy, with distant buildings dissolving into a soft blue-gray suggesting warm humid air. The overall sensation is one of welcoming brightness with comfortable warmth, the abundant greenery implying fresh vegetal scents and the gentle rustling of leaves, while the clean pathways suggest smooth walking surfaces inviting leisurely exploration through this thoughtfully reimagined urban space.
The designers integrated areas around Taichung Railway Station with urban environment, land utilization, industries development, urban image and cityscapes. The integration reorganizes the resources, reforms the surrounding environment and improves the quality of public facilities with the cultural and pedestrian-friendly urban corridor, which enriches the cultural development of the city centre.
