Golden A' Design Award Winner 2021

A contemporary retail interior unfolds before the listener, dominated by a large curved service counter positioned in the lower center of the composition, its form sweeping from left to right in an elegant elliptical arc. The counter base presents a brushed stainless steel surface, smooth and cool to the touch like polished aluminum, wrapping continuously around the curved form and rising approximately waist height. Above this metallic base, panels of translucent glass in a luminous aquamarine hue—reminiscent of shallow Caribbean waters on a bright morning—catch light from multiple sources and glow with gentle cool radiance. The counter's surface appears smooth as river-polished stone. Rising behind and above the counter, an elaborate angular framework constructed of gold-toned metal creates a dramatic sculptural presence, its diagonal members intersecting at sharp angles like crystalline mineral formations or abstract origami frozen in metallic form. This golden structure, warm as afternoon sunlight on brass, contrasts with the cool silver and aqua of the counter below. The framework supports shelving where footwear is displayed, though individual products read as small accents within the larger architectural gesture. To the upper portion of the scene, suspended signage spells out the establishment name in dimensional white letters illuminated from within, creating a soft glow against the industrial ceiling visible above. That ceiling reveals exposed ductwork, conduits, and structural elements in neutral grays and silvers, painted but not concealed, creating an honest industrial texture overhead like the inside of a well-maintained factory. Linear LED light fixtures trace geometric paths through this upper zone, their cool white illumination providing general brightness throughout the space. The flooring appears to be polished concrete in a neutral warm gray, providing stable visual grounding. Reflective surfaces throughout multiply and extend the space, creating a sense of openness and infinite visual depth.

The design inspiration comes from the voyage of the universe, hoping to lead customers into an unknown space full of different experiences. The space defines the consumption process as a journey. The Glare not only provides goods but also conveys fashion information. Fashion shops carry the rich and diverse design inspiration behind the products. If we can add more activities to space, this will deepen the consumer experience and at the same time feel the value of fashion design. It is not just a retail store, but also has the functions of sales, education, and exhibition at the same time.
