Golden A' Design Award Winner 2021
A waterfront architectural rendering presents three gleaming towers rising from a tropical beachfront setting, viewed from across calm waters under a clear sky. Scanning from background to foreground, the expansive sky occupies the upper third, graduating from deep ocean blue at top through lighter azure toward the horizon where it meets a thin band of atmospheric haze softening distant elements. Three interconnected high-rise towers dominate the middle and upper portions, arranged in an asymmetrical grouping with the tallest tower positioned left of center reaching perhaps sixty stories. This tallest structure features a distinctive curved crown element at its peak, rendered in cool silver-white like polished aluminum catching sunlight, while its facade below displays warm champagne gold and bronze tones resembling honey in late afternoon light. The horizontal bands articulating each floor create a rhythmic texture like corduroy or ribbed fabric. To its right stand two additional towers of progressively shorter heights, their facades similarly warm-toned with golden and cream coloring suggesting brushed metal or illuminated sandstone. The towers connect at their bases through a podium structure featuring transparent glazing and warm-toned vertical elements suggesting welcoming public spaces. Below the buildings, a grove of palm trees creates a band of verdant green like fresh basil leaves, establishing transition between architecture and beach. The foreground beach appears as soft buff-colored sand, smooth as fine powder, meeting tranquil waters rendered in deep teal and turquoise. The water surface carries elongated reflections of the golden towers, creating shimmering vertical streaks like liquid amber. Small human figures dot the beach, establishing the immense scale of the towers above. A small white yacht appears at right, emphasizing the maritime context and leisurely atmosphere of this coastal resort vision.
The complex includes one five-star hotel, two condotels, water parks, numerous commercial and public facilities, which would enrich the living experience of both travelers and local city-dwellers. The modern design of this project aims to create some iconic urban shapes for the city, but to integrate softly with surrounding spaces and ensure urban ventilation as well as sea views for backside areas. The usage of Champa patterns and colors evokes the traditional spirit in a contemporary design.
