After Life Restaurant

Scanning from upper right toward lower left, this interior space presents a dramatic crystalline installation suspended from the ceiling, consisting of hundreds of individual glass or crystal elements in cool teal and aquamarine tones, each roughly the size of a large coin to a small fist, strung on thin wires at varying heights to create a cascading waterfall effect. The crystals catch light from embedded sources, creating brilliant white points of illumination scattered throughout like stars, their surfaces producing a temperature sensation of cool refreshing water or mineral ice. The left wall, occupying roughly half the composition, features heavily textured surfaces in warm tones like sun-baked clay or ancient sandstone, with deep crevices and rounded protrusions suggesting natural rock formations worn smooth by time and water, the surface feeling rough and granular to imagined touch. A narrow horizontal shelf projects from this wall at approximately waist height, supporting a collection of cylindrical pillar candles in creamy ivory, deep crimson, and rich burgundy, some showing melted wax drippings suggesting previous use, their waxy surfaces smooth and slightly yielding. Afterlife is conceptual thematic restaurant based in downtown Dubai. The name afterlife signifies the entire existence of this restaurant. The concept of the restaurant evolves around what life would be afterlife. The restaurant has been themed in a manner to create that awe in to the vising guest of an experience they may not have had before.
