Scanning this retail interior space from background to foreground, the listener encounters an enveloping environment of pure, luminous white extending across every architectural surface including walls, ceiling, floor, and display furniture, creating an impression of entering a space filled with diffused, gentle light approximating the soft brightness of an overcast winter day. The background reveals a continuous wall following a gentle leftward curve, upon which float three horizontal shelves displaying dozens of wine bottles arranged in neat rows, their dark glass bodies appearing as deep burgundy, forest green, and amber gold against the bright white backdrop, suggesting the rich warmth of polished wood and aged leather. Moving toward the center of the composition, a rectangular white column rises from floor to ceiling, creating a visual pause between spatial zones, while to its right a spherical pendant light fixture hangs from the ceiling, glowing with warm, creamy illumination like a small captured moon. A human figure appears in motion between these zones, rendered slightly blurred to suggest walking movement, dressed in dark clothing that contrasts dramatically against the surrounding brightness, providing crucial human scale reference indicating the space rises perhaps three to four meters in height. The middle ground features a sweeping curved wall beginning at the center and flowing toward the left foreground, its surface smooth as polished porcelain and cool to imagined touch, with two additional tiers of floating shelves holding wine bottles, their colorful labels creating horizontal bands of visual interest. The foreground presents a dramatically curved counter or display element sweeping from the left edge toward center, its surface continuing the seamless white material, with a single wine bottle placed upon it suggesting a tasting or presentation moment. The floor beneath appears smooth as ice, highly reflective, bouncing light upward to eliminate shadows and create an atmosphere of weightless suspension within this pristine environment.
The Portugal Vineyards concept store is the first physical store for the online wine specialist company. Located adjacent to the company’s headquarters, facing the street and occupying 90m2, the store consists of an open-plan devoid of partitions. The interior is a blindingly white and minimal space with circular circulation - a white canvas for the Portuguese wine to shine and be displayed. The shelves are carved out of the walls in reference to the wine terraces on a 360 degrees immersive retail experience with no counter.
