K11 Musea Shopping Mall

Listeners enter an extraordinary multi-story interior space looking upward through a dramatic atrium defined by sweeping curved metal forms in warm copper and bronze tones that arc overhead like the ribbons of a metallic aurora or the flowing tentacles of some benevolent sea creature rendered in burnished metal. Beginning at the lower portion of the view, glimpses of green foliage—tropical plants—emerge from planters, providing an organic counterpoint to the metallic architecture with their fresh verdant coloring suggesting new growth and living nature. Moving upward through the space, the most prominent features are three large spherical structures of varying sizes constructed from triangulated geometric frameworks. The largest sphere, positioned in the upper central area, appears crafted from warm golden-bronze metal lattice creating a honeycomb-like pattern, perhaps four to five meters in diameter, glowing with embedded lights that sparkle like captured stars. Below and to the right, a second sphere of similar construction catches light on its faceted surface. A third sphere, rendered in cooler silvery glass tones with geometric triangular panels, occupies the lower right quadrant, its surface appearing like a giant crystal or perhaps a modernist interpretation of a gazing ball at monumental scale. Surrounding and flowing between these spheres, curved bands of copper-colored metal create wavelike patterns that suggest ocean currents or wind-sculpted forms, their surfaces smooth and reflective, warm to the eye like sunlit bronze or polished copper vessels. Embedded within these flowing forms, hundreds of small circular lights create dotted patterns resembling constellations or bioluminescent organisms, their warm glow adding texture and sparkle throughout the space. The overall atmosphere feels both grand and intimate, like standing within a warmly lit grotto or a temple dedicated to beauty and wonder, the metal surfaces seeming almost alive with reflected light and gentle warmth.

At the core is a 35m high atrium dubbed Opera Theatre, which features hundreds of 1,800 programmable spotlights to resemble a galaxy, evoking curiosity and creativity, taking the form of a galaxy and mysterious body of stars.
